CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS

Also known as the cracking, popping, manipulation or adjustment is the technique used by many chiropractors. Adjusting aims to help correct vertebral joint dysfunction. Correcting restrictions or dysfunctions can help reduce pain and inflammation, reduce muscle spasm and tension, normalise spinal biomechanics and more importantly, can remove nerve irritation and interference which can improve overall range of motion and function of an individual.  Adjustments are done by hand or instruments like an adjusting tool or the table.

NOT EVERY PATIENT GETS ADJUSTED

Some people are anxious or prefer not to be "cracked" there are alternative techniques we can use, such as mobilisations. All these options are discussed with you during your appointment.

DRY NEEDLING

Different to accupuncture, but still using the same needles. Dry needling targets trigger points in the muscles. This creates a small localised inflammation that aims to calm down spasmed muscles and reduce pain in a specific area.

MASSAGE AND IASTM

Massage and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) - All our treatments involve some form of massage or muscle release. Either with sorbolene cream or specific tools such as massage guns, scrapping or guasha. Active release and stretching is also used.

TAPING & STRAPPING

Used to help support joints, and provide stability. Or as a reminder for posture, injury or to help with oedema or swelling.

Cupping

Decompression and Stimulating
